Kamloops, B.C., September 28, 2022 — Kamloops Centre for the Arts Society (KCA) is asking Kamloops mayor and council candidates whether they will support a plan for a centre for the arts if elected.
The KCA has sent a survey to the candidates, asking them to respond by October 3, 2022.
“We believe our 5,000 members will be interested in knowing the intentions of those running for council,” says Brenda Aynsley, Chair of the KCA Board. “Our organization remains committed to realizing this much-needed infrastructure for the people of Kamloops and to working with the future mayor and council to make it happen.”
The short survey asks the candidates four pertinent questions, with the final question asking if they will actively support a plan to build a new centre for the arts once elected.
The KCA will release the survey results the week of October 3rd, so voters have this information in hand before election day.

The Sagebrush Theatre is owned by School District 73, which uses one-third of bookable days for its own use before accepting community bookings. While we are so fortunate to have a sharing relationship, the need for school use seriously limits the opportunity for community bookings (theatre, symphony, dance schools, concert promoters, civic events) for a growing community of our size.
