As the year comes to a close, we wanted to reach out to wish you well and offer an update on the activities of the Kamloops Centre for the Arts Society Board of Directors.
In spite of our not being able to carry on with the planned referendum, the Board has continued to meet and we have confirmed our commitment to continue with this project. Our efforts, however, have definitely been paused given the uncertainty created as a result of this pandemic. We, however, remain committed to seeing a Centre for the Arts in Kamloops and we want to ensure YOU as a valued supporter also continue to be aware of our ongoing efforts and remain committed as well.
In responding to the Member Survey circulated this past July, members resoundingly shared their disappointment that the referendum did not go ahead, but that we must not lose hope and most importantly that we must continue to work to realize a Centre for the Arts in Kamloops
In spite of our not being able to come together at this time, we know this will change and Kamloops remains in critical need of physical space for the arts.
During this holiday season, we encourage you to take some time to connect with the arts in our community, many online performances are being offered and galleries and museums remain open with safe-visiting protocols in place. Please take the time to celebrate the arts this holiday season!
From all of us at the Kamloops Centre for the Arts Society, we wish you a joyful, restful and art-filled holiday,
